FRIDAY BLACK, a reminder that what you wear really matters

Ruth La Ferla from the NY Times writes about Nana Kwame Adjei-Brenyah"s book Friday Black which is a collection of stories describing characters super aware of the fact that what you wear matters. In his book, the characters delve deep into the notion that one is perceived a certain way depending on what they choose to wear and/or how they choose to wear it. His stories are truly riveting as they focus primarily on the perception of race, specifically on being Black. He uses psychology and experience to decide what to wear. I love that. My work with clients focuses on using my expertise as a clinical psychologist to find what each client needs to feel successful, strong, and optimistic. I help them achieve this through the clothes they wear. Like I always say, take the time to consider your clothing choices, it really does matter. XO, Ania
